Osteldrin is the capital of Ordinatus, the second easternmost province of the Araxian Empire (after Henge). The river Ostel flows eastward through it from its source in the mountains near the Dwarven hold of Kazdim.
Etymology
The name Osteldrin comes from the Ostel river—which in turn gets its name from the Proto-Dumeric word ost (east)—and drin (drain), and refers to the fact that the river flows east from the Montani Ordinati (PD ostenmont) through the city to drain into the Mundane Ocean.
