New page

The Orcs or orkiv in their native language, are the green-skinned and tusked relatives of the Elves originally native to Ordinatus, the eastern province of what is now the Araxian Empire. Despite their heritage, orcs do not enjoy the long years of their distant Elven kin, but neither do they suffer the Woe. They are known for being significantly stronger and taller on average than most humans and elves, and often find work among humans in roles where their physicality is a great asset: as guards, blacksmiths, farm hands, etc. This has led to a perception among more ignorant folk that orcs are dumb brutes only suited to menial labor and looking scary, which of course is easily dispelled by a cursory understanding of any of the aforementioned trades. Or a cursory understanding of much of anything, for that matter.

In most places, orcs are a minority group, but in Ordinatus they are nearly as common as humans, and much more common than Elves.
