The world of Delgar exists at the center of an eternal conflict. The twelve powers that govern all that is, whether they be seen, as in [[Araxia]], as individual deities within a [[Religion#The Common Pantheon|pantheon]], or as aspects of the [[Religion#The Divine Construction|Divine Construction]], as is the common view in [[Belgrit]], ever vie for control of the sundry domains that bear their names. A full understanding of the cosmos, thus described, can be extended into an understanding of everything, from the seasons that change as the tides of celestial war favor first one faction, then another, to the nature and provenance of the arcane powers which men yield through [[Rune]] and focus, and all other matters.
